Hundreds of firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire in the Highbridge section of the Bronx Sunday morning.

Hundreds of firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire in the Highbridge section of the Bronx Sunday morning. 
Residents on Shakespeare Avenue say they were woken up to the sound of a fire alarm and the smell of fire. An entire home ended up engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were called to the scene around 6 a.m.
The fire started to spread from one home to the next, leaving neighbors a few homes down in fear that their homes would be up in flames. 
Three to four homes were damaged from the flames. The Red Cross is on the scene to help the families that were displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. It is unknown if anyone was injured in the flames.
