Volunteers took part in Spotswood Borough's annual Earth Day clean up on Saturday.
Those who joined in on the effort chose from three parks in town. Gloves and bags were also given out.
“What we do is for the benefit of the entire world…We hope that people bring that home with them and it has that ripple effect," said Donna Faulkenberry, the director of community services for Spotswood Recreation Department.
The litter cleanup has been going on for several years and is in honor of Earth Day on April 22.
