Tenants of one of the city's worst landlords, according to the Public Advocate's Office, are suing.
About 38 tenants who live inside 750 Grand Concourse are suing their landlord Ved Parkash.
According to the Urban Justice Center, which represents the group, the building at Grand Concourse has more than 500 violations.
Tenants say in March the floor inside the laundry room collapsed and as a precaution gas was turned off by Con Edison.
Since then, tenants say they have been without cooking gas.
Dozens of the building's tenants came together to rally outside the Bronx Housing Court Monday to force Parkash to make needed repairs.
Anurag Parkash is the landlord's attorney and also his son. Parkash says from October 2015 to January 2016, his father has resolved more than half of the violations and says the remaining ones will be completed in 30 days.
Parkash says he is also working with Con Edison and the Department of Buildings to get the gas turned on.
