Man accused of calling bomb threat to Statue of Liberty

Federal authorities say they have arrested a West Virginia man for calling in a bomb threat on the Statue of Liberty.
Investigators say Jason Paul Smith called 911 in April, threatening to blow up the landmark. Smith claimed to be Abdul Yasin, the only conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing that has not been captured.
Authorities say Smith also made calls threatening to kill police officers on the Brooklyn Bridge and to bomb Times Square.
Smith is charged with one count of conveying misleading information. He could spend up to five years in prison.
