The NYPD is searching for an accused serial bank robber who has been hitting multiple TD Bank locations across the Bronx in the last three weeks.
Police say a man is wanted in connection to at least five bank robberies across multiple neighborhoods in the Bronx.
According to police, the man has been entering TD Bank locations, approaching the teller, threatening them with a gun and demanding cash. News 12 is told the tellers did not see a gun in any incidents, but they still complied and handed over the cash.
The robberies began three weeks ago on July 15. The most recent incident happened Thursday morning at the TD Bank on Baychester Avenue in Co-Op City. The suspect got away with $600.
TD Bank locations affected by this incident include the Soundview, Fordham and Belmont neighborhoods.
Police say he's gotten away with at least $2,000.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the NYPD.
TD Bank also issued a statement to News 12: "At TD Bank, the safety of our customers and colleagues is a top priority. When robberies occur, we work closely with law enforcement and offer programs to support impacted TD colleagues."
