Mayor Eric Adams along with other city officials announced a $23 million pilot program aimed to "re-imagine and invest" in nearly 3 acres of NYCHA open space.
The space is across three developments in Queens, two in the Bronx and one in Brooklyn. It also includes playgrounds.
The announcement was made at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new open space at Pomonok Houses in Queens, which was reconstructed under the program. The space now includes fitness equipment, sensory play equipment, seating and new landscaping.
