More Long Island homeowners are coming forward with frustration and disbelief after Wren Kitchens abruptly shut down operations and filed for bankruptcy, leaving customers with half-finished projects and thousands of dollars in limbo.

Dennis Ingrassia, of Levittown, is one of them. What was supposed to be a kitchen renovation has instead turned into months of disruption and uncertainty.

“It just messes with your whole world,” Ingrassia said. “This is the center of the house and we don’t have it.”

The family’s kitchen has been unusable since January, when a dishwasher flood caused major damage. They expected relief this spring: Wren had scheduled delivery and installation for May 11. But last Friday, Ingrassia learned that date would never come.

With no functioning kitchen, the family has been relying on a microwave, a grill, and the generosity of relatives.

“We have no place to cook, so we’ve been going to my daughter’s house and she’s been helping us out,” he said.

Wren Kitchens’ sudden closure has triggered a wave of complaints across New York. The State Attorney General’s office has confirmed it is now reviewing multiple reports from customers who say they were left without products, refunds, or communication.

The company had a partnership with Home Depot. A spokesperson for Home Depot told News 12 they had no prior knowledge of Wren’s plans to shut down.

Ingrassia says he has received no guidance from Wren about what happens next — no updates and no indication of whether he’ll recover the money he paid.

“I don’t know how anyone in that company that was part of this decision sleeps at night,” he said.

Wren Kitchens has not responded to repeated requests for comment.
