MTA service alerts system now includes bridges, tunnels

Commuters can sign up for the email and text alerts on the MTA's website.

New Yorkers can now get alerts sent to their phones about conditions on the city's bridges and tunnels.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says it revamped its service alerts system.
Before, it only gave customers service updates for just trains, subways and buses.
Commuters can sign up for the email and text alerts here.
