Woman struck in the head with bottle during Highbridge brawl

The NYPD says a man was fatally shot in the head early Tuesday morning.

They say it happened on East 176 Street and Mohegan Avenue, just before 3 a.m.

Authorities identified the man as 28-year-old Idriss Cherifelfarissy.

Neighbors tell News 12 they heard multiple shots and believe Cherifelfarissy may have been coming home from work.

Police do not have a description for the suspect at this time, but sources tell News 12 a person was seen rummaging through the victim's pockets and may have fled on a bike.
