NYPD: Man fatally stabbed during fight on East New York street

A homicide investigation is underway in East New York, after a man was fatally stabbed late Thursday night.

A homicide investigation is underway in East New York, after a man was fatally stabbed late Thursday night.
Police say it appears there was some sort of fight prior that ultimately led to him being stabbed in the mouth.
Police believe it happened on Newport Street near the corner of Van Sinderen Avenue just before midnight, and tell News 12 there was blood at the scene.
Police tell News 12 the 29-year-old victim was removed from the scene and taken to the hospital by private means and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving there.
Investigators are still searching for whoever is responsible.
