Police say an off-duty officer was robbed and a gun was fired Wednesday evening, but it was not immediately clear who pulled the trigger or whether the shot struck anyone.
It happened near Clinton Avenue and East 175th Street, prompting a large police presence in the area.
Police say at least one shot was fired around 7 p.m.
According to police, the suspect was after chains the off-duty officer wore around his neck.
The officer sustained an unspecified injury on his neck, police say.
