The NYPD on Wednesday announced that all of its facilities that are open to the public will display a sexual violence survivor resource guide.

NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban, in partnership with the New York City Alliance against Sexual Assault, attributed this new initiative to help survivors of sexual violence.

The poster will show a QR code that links to online assistance for survivors, who otherwise may not receive it.

"This aims to ease the process survivors face and is a thoughtful collab with experts and special victims unit,” NYPD First Deputy Commissioner Tania Kinsella said.

The QR code will also be displayed on business cards at each precinct. The guide can also be printed by NYPD staff for anyone without access to the internet.
