The body of a man found in Turks and Caicos has been confirmed as the body of Brian Tarrence, a former Hudson Valley resident who was reported missing last month.

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force confirmed Tarrence’s identity Wednesday evening in a Facebook post. Officials say the identity was confirmed via forensic dental analysis.

“An autopsy conducted on July 11th revealed no signs of trauma, and at this time, there is no suspicion of foul play,” officials wrote in the statement.

Final autopsy and toxicology reports are still pending.

Tarrance, 51, who previously lived in Monroe and had recently relocated to Manhattan, vanished more than a week ago while vacationing with his wife. Surveillance video given to News 12 showed him leaving his Paradise Inn Airbnb around 3:30 a.m. on June 25. Additional footage from a second camera captured him walking near Leeward Highway at 4:05 a.m., roughly 30 minutes later.

Tarrance’s body was found on July 5 in the Grace Bay area.
