In a joint operation by the sheriff's office and the NYPD, authorities seized over $10 million worth of illegal drug products from a Mott Haven building at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
The mayor's office says it was the largest drug bust they've done since the start of the 'Operation Padlock to protect' efforts.
They found things like pre rolled joints, mushrooms, candies and chocolates infused with drugs, and narcotics, among other items one would typically see in the illegal market.
This building on Timpson Place stretches more than a half of a block. The sheriff's office says that not only were illegal drugs present at the location, but they were also packaging and distributing them here. The building also has an after hours club.
Residents tell News 12's Lindsay Tanney that they're surprised something like this happened in their neighborhood because it is usually quiet.
