Police say a 15-year-old girl has been arrested and charged with murder after she allegedly stabbed a 17-year-old girl in Soundview Thursday afternoon.
Exclusive surveillance video shows that the incident stemmed from a physical fight. In video, two girls can be seen in front of the Boynton Avenue apartment entrance when a third one runs up and a fight breaks out between two of them. Seconds later, three others join in.
Police say the victim Emery Mizelle, 17, was stabbed in the chest. She was taken to the hospital where she died later from her injuries.
Police took multiple girls involved in that fight into custody. While others were released, a 15-year-old girl was held and is being charged with multiple crimes, including murder.
