Police in Dutchess county are investigating a shooting at a well-known apartment complex.

It happened Sunday afternoon inside the Views at Rocky Glen community off Route 52 in the Town of Fishkill.

Both state police and the Town of Fishkill police were at the scene.

The entrance to the complex was blocked off with yellow crime scene tape with detectives spotted going inside.

Police say a suspect was shot after a reported domestic disturbance around 2 p.m.

There is no word on the nature of injuries.

The fire department blocked off Route 52 to traffic until well into the evening.
