Police identify man wanted for violent sex assault in Melrose
In a surveillance video obtained by News 12, the man is seen stalking a woman on a sidewalk before sneaking behind her and using a belt to take her down.

Police say they have identified a man who was seen sexually assaulting a woman near East 152nd Street and Third Avenue in Melrose on Wednesday at approximately 3 a.m.
The NYPD says it has identified the man as 39-year-old Kashaan Parks. Mugshot of Parks pictured below.
In a surveillance video obtained by News 12, the man is seen stalking a woman on a sidewalk before sneaking behind her and using a belt to take her down.
The video shows him drag her by the neck between two cars. Police say this is where he sexually assaulted her.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to place an anonymous call to 1-800-577-TIPS.
