Police say three separate car break-ins occurred in Crown Heights last month - all before 1 p.m. - with over $12,000 worth of property stolen from the cars.
They say the break-ins happened on Nov. 13, 16 and 28.
"Moving the car and finding out that your whole system is gone kind of sucks," said David Velazquez, of Bushwick.
David Velazquez says he was a victim to thieves in this same neighborhood a few months ago when his speakers were stolen from his car.
"I left the car unlocked and they were able to, you know, I don't know if they were checking around like the cars in the area and they were able to just open the door," said Velazquez.
The NYPD recommends locking your car and activating the alarm whenever you leave the car to avoid theft.
"I know my wife makes the beep like four times or something, you know, just to be sure,” says Curtis Knowlin, of Bayridge.
Police say cars left unattended with keys inside are an easy target so be sure to turn off your car and take the keys with you when you leave the car - and take any valuables.
"Before I leave. Oh, I gather all my stuff up and if I have something in there. I lay it flat on the ground, and put something over it,” says Knowlin.
Police are still looking for the individuals involved in this burglary pattern.
The two men drove away in a gray Toyota Avalon after each break-in.
Anyone with information is asked to call the police.
