A campaign worker was arrested in Perth Amboy for election fraud, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials say Ana Camilo was working for a Perth Amboy City Council candidate. She is accused of offering to complete mail-in ballots in exchange for $20 ShopRite gift cards.
Camilo was caught when she allegedly made the offer to an undercover police officer.
The prosecutor did not state which candidate Camilo was working for.
She was charged with bribery and released on the day of her arrest.
