Protesters sat with their legs crossed, eyes closed and in silence Sunday in a field at Herbert Von King Park to meditate for Black lives.
Brittany Micek, one of the organizers, says showing unity like this is a way to recover from long days of protest.
Organizers say the event is the third Meditating for Black Lives, and are happy to see it grow with support.
They say they want this to be healing for people of color and, for allies, a time to think on how to be part of the change.
The group will be holding another event next Sunday.
