One-Day Choir in Brooklyn allows participants to sing in a collective group without the stress of auditions and rehearsals.
It's hosted by Gaia Music Collective multiple times a month.
Organizers said they started the choir about 2 ½ years ago and that it has become extremely popular, with hundreds signing up for each event.
News 12 went to one of the events held in the basement of a Bushwick church.
The theme that night was the Broadway hit musical and now-hit movie "Wicked," and the song selected to sing was "Defying Gravity."
About 250 people showed up to participate.
Tickets are purchased by giving a donation of between $11-$33.
