The NYPD is searching for a run-away driver who they say hit an officer during a traffic stop in Concourse Village.
According to authorities, the driver of a black Mercedes Benz ran a red light around 5 a.m. on Clay Street Tuesday.
When police attempted to pull the car over, the driver sped away. Officers attempted a chase for the second time, but the driver put the car in reverse and hit an officer.
The officer sustained an injured knee but is expected to make a full recovery.
