A series of two storms will impact New York City through Thursday that will send close to 2 inches of rainfall to the city.
The first round of storms is expected to make an impact starting at 5 a.m. as sprinkles and mist, slowly intensifying to light rain by 10 a.m.
The second round is expected to arrive around 5 p.m. with heavy rain through midnight.
The primary hazard is for flash flooding followed by a possibility for damaging winds.
An average of 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected with 3 inches possible in the heaviest of downpours.
