News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright says windy weather continues into Thursday with wintry chills behind it. Heavy rain is expected to arrive overnight on Friday.
Winter continues to have a grip across the tri-state with temperatures and winds that you'll need to layer up for. Behind the cold, a storm is brewing for the area by Saturday morning. Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright shares the timing and details here.
OVERNIGHT: Skies will be mainly clear; winds will continue to be blustery. Feel like temps will be in the 20s/30s lows will fall to the low 30s.
THURSDAY: Feels very cold, breezy and sunny. Highs will be in the middle 40s, however it will feel like the 20s and 30s. Lows will be near 30 degrees.
FRIDAY: Sunny start, not as breezy but still chilly. Highs will be in the middle 40s. Friday night, clouds will increase, winds will pick up and rain and snow will begin overnight, Not expecting snow accumulation, however periods of heavy rain will continue overnight into Saturday. Lows will be in the middle to low 40s.
SATURDAY: Bands of heavy rain and breezy. Temps will be mild, but rain will continue until about dinner time. Highs in the low 50s. Lows in the low 40s.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny, breezy and not as mild. Highs will be near 50 degrees. Lows will be in the upper 30s near 40 degrees.
