Suspect in fatal Morris Heights stabbing arrested, held without bail

Vladimir Lopez German is currently being held without bail following an argument over a parking dispute in Morris Heights that led to the stabbing death of 19-year-old Dominic Aquilera.
The 45-year-old Lopez German said nothing as he was charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
During his arraignment, Lopez German booked a flight to the Dominican Republic. His wife was in the courtroom but left quickly once his brief appearance concluded.
The victim's family tells News 12 he was getting ready to head to work with his father when Lopez German showed up at their door demanding the teen move his car. According to Aguilera’s grandmother, he went to the street to do that, and ended up dead.
A criminal complaint reveals that Aguilera was stabbed in the heart and the lung. Lopez German will be back in court next Wednesday at 10 a.m.
