7h agoUnderhill Avenue in Soundview was closed on Friday evening after a water main break caused major flooding.
Water was shut off for residents in the area due to a pipe bursting on Thursday afternoon.
The Department of Environmental Protection said water was restored at around 1 a.m. Friday. They also plan to examine the broken pipe to determine the cause of the break.

The Department of Environmental Protection told News 12 that the workers are in the process of repaving the roadway to quickly get it reopened to the public.
