Video shows moments where NYPD officers save man on subway tracks

Police say they were able to communicate with an incoming train to ensure it stopped before the man was brought back onto the platform.

Police released video on Thursday showing officers helping a 47-year-old man who fell on the subway tracks.
NYPD officers dropped down onto the tracks after the man fell off of the platform at the Nostrand Avenue subway station in Brooklyn. Police say those officers crossed two live third rails to get to the man and save him.
Police were able to communicate with an incoming train to ensure it stopped before the man was brought back onto the platform. That 47-year-old man is now in the hospital in stable condition.
