Mayor says city will take legal action if President Trump sends federal agents
Mayor Bill de Blasio says the city will take legal action if need be against unlawful intrusion.
The mayor says if President Donald Trump sends federal agent to New York City, the city will take legal action.
The president threatened to send federal agents to New York City earlier this week. The president has already deployed federal agents to Portland, Oregon.
The mayor also urged New Yorkers to take time to fill out the Census. The city says only 53% of New Yorkers have responded to the Census.
The mayor’s campaign says that “filling out the Census is easy” and that it is only “10 questions, 10 minutes.”
