There was preliminary information as of Saturday night, but police confirmed that they found a woman unconscious with blood on her face in her Bedford Avenue fourth floor apartment.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A News 12 crew observed a vase of flowers placed by the apartment door while police were still inside investigating the scene.
Police had not confirmed how she died or who the perpetrator may have been as of Saturday night.
Neighbors told News 12 she lived with two kids and her partner.
The medical examiner was trying to determine a cause of death as of Saturday night.
