Bronx residents gathered at Pelham Bay Park on Sunday for the annual Bronx Native American Festival.
The festival included music, storytelling, food and dancing.
News 12 spoke to an organizer who explains the importance of celebrating Native American culture in the Bronx.
"Today we have the celebration of native cultures of the America's. North, south central and the Caribbean. So, we have Kiowa, Lakota, Hopi, and Taino native people from all over. The Bronx is Native American country, we always been here, and we always will,” says Bobby Gonzales, the event organizer.
