A 26-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested and charged with a rape that police say took place earlier this month in Williamsbridge.
Investigators say a 25-year-old woman was near Paulding Avenue and East 212th Street around 4 a.m. on Sept. 13 when the suspect approached her, engaged in conversation, then put his arm around her, dragged her to the ground and forcibly raped her.
Police used surveillance camera footage from homes in the neighborhood to help get a photo of the suspect.
On Saturday, police arrested 26-year-old Zion Exum. Police say the man was arrested for jumping a turnstile Saturday morning. Upon his arrest, an anonymous tip linked him to the Sept. 13 attack.
