Caught on camera: Man wanted for serial robberies in Manhattan

Police are in search of a man in connection to several Manhattan robberies they say have been determined as part of a grand larceny pattern.

Police are in search of a man in connection to several Manhattan robberies they say have been determined as part of a grand larceny pattern.

They say the first incident was on Dec. 27 at the restaurant the Maze at 32 West 32 St. around 8:30 p.m. They say the suspect took a 32-year-old woman's purse and fled. No injuries were reported.
Another incident was reported to police on Jan. 7 at the Stewart Hotel at 371 7th Ave. Officers say the suspect took a purse from a 59-year-old woman around 2 p.m. at the hotel lobby. They say he fled northbound on 7th Avenue. No one was injured in this incident either.
On Jan. 13, the suspect approached a 19-year-old male store employee inside Kaylee Restaurant on East 27th Street. The suspect showed a weapon and removed the register, fleeing with around $400.
A fourth incident was caught on surveillance video on Jan. 20, officers say. The suspect entered Van Leeuwen Ice Cream at 42 3rd Ave. and placed an order with the 23-year-old female employee. He is then seen striking the employee in the head with a large rock and demanding money from her.
The suspect appears to enter the storage room and then fleeing eastbound on 30th Street. The victim was taken to the hospital for a concussion and injuries to her head.
