The city continues to open more streets today as the weather is beginning to get warmer.
Mayor Bill de Blasio says his goal is to reach 100 miles of open street space for the public.
This initiative started in April with the mayor testing a couple streets in different neighborhoods, and now New Yorkers will have 40 miles of temporary walking space this month.
Today several streets throughout all five boroughs will be barricaded and blocked off for vehicles. The miles of open space will be precincts and others next to parks and businesses.
In the Bronx, neighborhoods like Kingsbridge, Mott Haven, Morris Park and Fordham Heights will see street closures.
In Brooklyn, Carroll Gardens, Sunset Park, Williamsburg and Brooklyn Heights are some of the many neighborhoods on the list.

In addition, nine new miles of bike lanes will be available by the end of the month.
The goal is to give people even more space to socially distance as the weather starts warming up and people start heading outdoors.
