MTA expands access to reduced fare programs to IDNYC holders

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is widely expanding access to its reduced fare programs.

Riders can now use IDNYC to take advantage of the services. A wide variety of documents are accepted when applying for IDNYC, making it easier for commuters regardless of immigration status or income to get one.

More than 1.5 million New Yorkers are enrolled in the program.

New Yorkers can apply for reduced fare programs at MTA customer service centers in all five boroughs as well as online.
