A New Jersey family is honoring their son's memory through their nonprofit organization Donors for Danny.
Ray and Karyn Glover lost their only son, Danny, six years ago in a car crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Glover was a wrestler at Bergenfield High School and was traveling to the funeral of a college teammate when he was killed.
The Glovers didn't want Danny's death to be in vain and had his organs donated. His organs saved six people, including his Little League coach, who needed a liver. Glover had become an organ donor when he was a kid because his mom needed a bone marrow transplant.
"Danny was able to give so many people life and enhance people's lives," Karyn says.
The Glovers formed Donors for Danny in order to help others and spread his legacy through fundraisers and scholarships. They say they hope Danny's story will inspire others to become donors.
