An auxiliary police sergeant who served the Bronx for decades is one of the latest members of the NYPD family to be taken too soon by coronavirus.
NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said on Twitter Sunday that Auxiliary Sgt. Angel Leon died yesterday of coronavirus-related complications.
Shea said Leon had served the NYPD and the people of the Bronx since 1981.
