Police released images of a car they believe the suspect got away in following a Bronx shooting that left a 15-year-old dead and a 16-year-old in the hospital.
The photos taken on Thursday show a gray Jeep Renegade in front of the Police Athletic League in Longwood, where the shooting happened.
Police say 15-year-old Josue Lopez-Ortega was with a group of people leaving the Athletic League when the Jeep Renegade pulled up and someone got out and started opening fire into the crowd.
Lopez-Ortega was hit in the head and another 16-year-old boy was hit in the leg. Lopez-Ortega was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Longwood community built a vigil to remember the teen boy who was killed.
Residents tell News 12 Lopez-Ortega was playing basketball at the Athletic League in the hours before he was killed.
Sources say a fight may have led up to the shooting.
