Police say a 44-year-old man was shot in the stomach in Melrose this morning during an armed robbery.

According to police, the incident happened around 10 a.m.

According to officials, a gunman stole the victim’s wallet and left him bleeding near 156th Street and Jackson Avenue.

The suspect was last seen wearing all black with a black face mask.

The victim is in stable condition.
