A man who allegedly tried to kidnap two teenagers went before a judge in Bridgeport Friday.

Antonio Dossantos, a housepainter in Bridgeport, showed little emotion as he stood before Superior Court Judge Peter McShane. The judge described Dossantos' charges as "very, very serious" and "every parent's worst nightmare."

McShane set Dossantos' bond at $305,000.

Police say Dossantos was driving his car near Central High School Wednesday and came across a 15-year-old female student who was walking near the school. They say he tried, unsuccessfully, to lure her into his vehicle.

On Thursday, police say Dossantos did the same thing to an 18-year-old female student in the same area. This time, authorities say he grabbed the student, dragging her and trying to pull her into his vehicle. He was unsuccessful.

A parent at the school said he was shocked to learn of the recent events and is concerned with how the school will address this issue.

"He's out here with bad intentions, and there's probably more people like that. That's why I called the school to see what their concerns are moving forward. What are they going to do?" said James Dupre, a parent.

The school sent an alert to parents that said, "Speak with your children about safety measures when walking to and from school daily and report any incidences of concern to school officials and the police."

Parent Jeanette Herron lives a few blocks from the school and has worked with kids in the public school system for decades. She says two cases of attempted kidnapping "paint a very, very alarming picture."

"I'm very concerned about this, and I'm glad this individual was caught," Herron said. "He had bad intentions, and I thank God that he actually got caught and these girls are OK."
