Activity going on at Van Cortlandt Park is leading many to believe that a field hospital will be going up there soon.
A portion of the park is currently blocked off by fencing, and trucks can be seen hauling in mobile light towers and more fences.
Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz says he is aware of a field hospital being set up here and that he believes it's being done in conjunction with Montefiore Health Systems.
At this point, he also tells News 12 that he isn't sure if it will treat COVID-19 patients or not.
A 68-bed field facility in Central Park is currently treating COVID-19 patients in the park's east meadow across from Mount Sinai Hospital.
