Two New York City-based religious organizations gathered on Monday to discuss city's migrant dilemma.
The Council of Holistic Christian Churches and Ministries joined the Latino Pastoral Action Center to find solutions at what else can be done to help migrants as the city and state have exhausted all its resources.
"The way we can receive the immigrants is by giving them a plate of food, by giving them clothes, by very mundane things,” said Council of Holistic Christian Churches and Ministries Bishop Raymond Rivera.
Student volunteers will be packing hygiene kits for local migrant communities as part of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of service.
