SoBro celebrates 45th anniversary with new president

The South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation is celebrating its 45th anniversary with a new president and CEO whose goal is to echo the organization's root message of job creation for South Bronx residents. 
Steven Brown is heading up SoBro, an organization dedicated to helping kids and adults in the South Bronx with things like affordable housing and educational and career development programs.
Brown previously held leadership positions at the Community Preservation Organization, the Jackie Robinson Foundation and the Greyston Foundation.
He says being the president and CEO of SoBro at an ever-changing time in the South Bronx is an honor.
Brown says his goal is reaching out to businesses to make sure residents are filling jobs and to expand programming to helps kids growing up in the South Bronx.
