Police found a 38-year-old man fatally shot inside his car in West Farms Monday, officials say.

They say the man was discovered in his GMC outside of Murphy Consolidation with one bullet wound in his head. The driver’s side of his vehicle had been blown to pieces.

The man was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives shut down East 178 Street at Bryant Avenue for investigation.

News 12 is told that no arrests have yet been made. Police say it was unclear whether the victim was the intended target.
