Survivors of sexual assault and harassment called Friday for justice and urged local lawmakers to act to protect the rights of survivors.

Among those taking part Friday was Lindsey Boylan, a former aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo. She is one of the women who have accused the governor accusing of sexual harassment, and on Friday she added her voice to calls for expanded protection for workers who come forward with allegations of sexual harassment and assault.

The group is calling for the Adult Survivor's Act and six anti-harassment laws to be passed, which would eliminate the 'license to harass bill' -- giving New York state employees the same rights as other workers, ban no-hire clauses and non-disclosure agreements, among other protections.

"The state of New York, a place that deems itself a sanctuary for survivors, is harboring an abuser in its highest office. Accountability is the bottom line," said state Sen. Alessandra Biaggi.

Assembly member Linda Rosenthal, who was on the call, pledged that they will get these bills passed.
