New York City is resuming its tree counting initiative this year.
NYC park representatives are embarking on the third tree census in New York City. They started counting trees in the Bronx on Tuesday, but in a way that has never been done before - using apps.
The apps have been created by the NYC Parks Department to track over 600,000 trees.
Once the data is collected, it will be visible for the public to see.
