The NYPD has arrested and charged a 27-year-old man from Mount Eden for the murder of a man that took place at the 170 Street Station.

The shooter, identified as Alberto Frias, of Mt. Eden, was charged with murder, manslaughter, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say 41-year-old Adrian Dawodu, of Manhattan, was shot to death on Feb 10.

Authorities say shots rang out just before 3 p.m., striking Dawodu throughout his body. EMS took him to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.

His death marked the first homicide in transit this year, but it was not the first shooting at the 170th Street station; shots rang out a little over a month earlier on the station’s platform, but nobody was struck, according to authorities.
