A youth gymnastics coach who worked at several locations across Monmouth County has been accused of sexually assaulting three athletes he coached while they were juveniles, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Authorities say that Sasha Raught, 55, was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and three counts of second-degree sexual assault. They say that Raught had sexual relationships with three of his former athletes while they were teenagers.
Officials say that the first two instances took place when Raught worked at Shrewsbury Gymnastics during the early- to mid-1990s. A third instance allegedly took place in 2008, while Raught worked at Jonas Gymnastics Academy in Marlboro.
Raught was arrested at his home last month and will have a detention hearing on June 7.
Anyone who might have information about Raught is urged to call Detective Joseph Pahopin at 1-800-533-7443.
