NYPD: Man wanted for striking 70-year-old in head and robbing him

The suspect forcibly removed the victim’s wallet from his pocket and ran away from the building. The victim suffered minor injuries but is expected to be okay.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help to track down a man who they say struck a 70-year-old man in the head and robbed him.
Police say that the victim was entering his residence located in the vicinity of Anderson and Jerome avenues when the suspect approached the victim from behind and hit him in the head with an unknown object.
The suspect stole the victim’s wallet from his pocket and ran away from the building. The victim suffered minor injuries but is expected to be okay.
Anyone with information on the location or identity of the suspect is asked to contact police.
