NYPD: Man’s face slashed at Dumbo subway station

No arrests have been made as of Saturday.

A 50-year-old man was slashed in the face just after 10 p.m. on Friday at the York Street subway station in Dumbo, according to police.
Police say the victim was walking along the platform when the attack happened.
The suspect allegedly punched him and then slashed the left side of his face before fleeing the scene.
The victim was hospitalized in stable condition. No arrests have been made as of Saturday.
News 12 spoke to commuters on Saturday who say crime is the new normal.
“Being a native New Yorker these things do happen. Everybody says it never happens in my neighborhood but things happen unfortunately,” on commuter said.
