A brutal overnight fight in Cypress Hills sent four women to the hospital while police question two people who were involved.

Police say the fight started at around midnight at 4 Essex St. after a disagreement between two groups of people became violent. Four women were fighting with a man and a woman. At some point, the fight became more dangerous when that man and woman pulled out a knife and hammer.

A 23-year-old woman was stabbed once in the back with knife and a 22-year-old woman was struck once in the head with a hammer, according to authorities. Police also say a 29-year-old woman was slashed once in the hand with a knife, and a 21-year-old woman was stabbed in her shoulder blade.

All victims were taken to a Brookdale Hospital, and are all in stable condition.

A 19-year-old and a 22-year-old were taken into custody, but no charges have been filed yet.
